The theme of my artwork is “Whimsy,” which is driven by my love of reading and writing, pulling inspiration from The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit, Bridge to Terabithia, The Amber Spyglass, The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland, The Last Unicorn, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Candide. My creations are also influenced by myths and folklore, the board game Candyland, and the original My Little Pony tv show.

Mostly I work with found-object sculpture, because everything in the world could be something even cooler; anything can be made into something way more interesting. I grew up making miniature scale models, from model horses to model railroad, and that taught me to have a sixth sense for objects that can be repurposed as something else. I create, because every time I see paint my first instinct is to stick my hand in it, and I don’t believe in having regrets. I like to have fun and be a little adventurous with my art. I also enjoy using ink, sketching, as well as digital art. I like to add texture to my creations, from tree bark and moss to fur and feathers, because it adds an element of realism and makes the work so much more interesting. I hope that my art helps people recognize that the world is more fun with a little bit of whimsy, and that life doesn't always have to be nonfiction.
